The IBM TS4300 is a modular tape library built on a 3U base unit. Expansion modules stack vertically to add cartridge slots and drives, so a small starting system can grow into a multi-petabyte archive.

Platform facts
The base unit holds up to three half-height drives, with hot-swap drives and power supplies. Fully expanded, the library supports up to 640 cartridges and 48 half-height drives. Base dimensions are 114 x 446 x 873 mm and the base unit weighs up to 28 kg. Management integrates with IBM Storage Protect and IBM Storage Archive.
