The Brocade G610 is a compact 1U Gen 6 Fibre Channel switch aimed at smaller SANs that still need enterprise features. This SKU ships as the 8-port base configuration and can be grown in 8-port steps to 24 ports with Ports on Demand licenses.
• Auto-sensing 4, 8, 16 and 32G ports • 768 Gb/s aggregate bandwidth and under 780 ns local switching latency • Frame-based ISL trunking up to 256 Gb/s per trunk • Brocade Access Gateway mode for simpler server-edge deployments
Management options include Web Tools, SANnav, a CLI and a REST API, with ClearLink diagnostics and Fabric Vision monitoring for troubleshooting. A single fixed power supply with four built-in fans keeps the chassis light at about 4.2 kg without optics.
Broadcom offers a lifetime warranty on G610 switches sold with that coverage, running until the announced end-of-support date.
