The Cisco SFP-H10GB-CU3M is a 3-metre passive twinax assembly with an SFP+ connector permanently attached at each end. Plug it straight into two SFP+ ports and you have a 10 Gigabit Ethernet link without buying separate optics or fibre.
Because it is passive copper, the cable draws very little power (Cisco lists about 0.1 W) and adds no transceiver cost, which makes it the usual choice for top-of-rack switch to server connections and short switch-to-switch uplinks.
