The Cisco SFP-25G-SR-S is the short-reach 25 Gigabit Ethernet optic in Cisco's SFP28 family, aimed at server and leaf-switch links inside the data centre.
• 25GBASE-SR at 850 nm over 50 µm multimode fibre • Up to 70 m on OM3 and 100 m on OM4 or OM5 • Duplex LC/PC connector; maximum power draw 1.2 W • Transmit power -8.4 to +2.4 dBm, receive sensitivity down to -10.3 dBm • Commercial temperature range of 0 to 70 °C
Cisco notes that the host port must have RS-FEC enabled for this module, and that FCoE is supported where the host software allows it. Patch cords must use PC or UPC connectors, not APC. The module carries Cisco's five-year standard warranty.
