The Cisco SFP-10G-SR is Cisco's standard short-reach optic for 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports. It plugs into any SFP+ cage on supported Cisco Catalyst, Nexus and UCS platforms and drives an 850 nm laser over multimode fibre.

• OM3 (2000 MHz·km): up to 300 m • OM4 / OM5 (4700 MHz·km): up to 400 m • Legacy FDDI-grade 62.5 µm fibre: 26 m; OM2: 82 m
Connections use a duplex LC/PC connector. Cisco rates the module at about 1 W and for the commercial 0 to 70 °C range. Unlike the lower-cost S-Class SFP-10G-SR-S, this version is the full-feature part that Cisco lists for platforms needing FCoE. A five-year standard warranty applies.
