The MG52E is the external-antenna version of Cisco Meraki's 5G cellular gateway. It ships with four dipole antennas and also accepts an optional Meraki patch antenna, which helps at sites where the signal is weak or arrives from one direction. Electrically it matches the MG52: a sub-6 GHz 5G modem that works on standalone and non-standalone networks, with LTE Cat 20 as fallback.

The gateway hands the cellular link to an existing firewall or router over Ethernet and is configured and monitored from the Meraki cloud dashboard. Only Meraki antennas are supported, and a Meraki MG license is required.
