Dell PowerEdge T160 Compact Tower Server

The PowerEdge T160 is the smallest tower in Dell's current server range: a 3U chassis roughly 13 cm wide that sits under a desk or on a shelf in a shop, warehouse or small office. It takes one Intel Xeon processor and is managed through the built-in iDRAC9 controller.

This is Dell's entry configuration: an Intel Xeon E-2434 (4 cores, 8 threads, 3.4 GHz), one 32 GB DDR5 ECC UDIMM, a 1 TB 7,200 rpm SATA hard drive on the embedded SATA controller and a 300 W cabled power supply.

• Memory: four DDR5 UDIMM slots, up to 32 GB per module • Storage: up to three 3.5-inch cabled drives in this chassis • Networking: two 1 GbE ports on the motherboard • Expansion: two PCIe slots for a RAID card or extra network ports

A sensible choice for file and print sharing, small databases, mail or a near-edge application where no rack is available. TPM, RAID controllers, extra drives and longer support plans are optional and not included in this price.
